All policy information is available in the policies section of your Feather account. The policy details page shows your policy status, policy number, insured person, and start date. From this page, you can also open your digital insurance card, add dependents, cancel your policy, view recent claims, and access your policy and visa-related documents. Documents are issued immediately after sign-up and include all materials needed for visa and residence appointments.
How do I access my policy details in my Feather account?
You can access your policy details by following these steps:
Log in to your Feather account.
Open the policies section.
Select your expat health insurance policy to view its details.
Documents can be found at the bottom of the page under the "Policy documents" section.
What information is shown on my policy details page?
The policy details page displays the following information about your coverage:
Your policy status and policy number
Your monthly premium
The name of the insured person
Your policy start date
Your digital insurance card
Recent claims and the current status of each claim
Your policy documents and any visa-related documents
What documents are available in my Feather account after signing up, and when will I get them?
You will receive your expat health insurance policy documents immediately after completing the sign-up process. The following documents are included:
Anlage 6 (confirmation of coverage) in German and English
Expat Certificate Of Authority in German and English
Expat Confirmation of Coverage in German
Expat Welcome Letter in English
Visa Compliance Letter in English
Feather Expat Health Insurance Conditions in English
The Anlage 6 and the Expat Certificate Of Authority are the documents you will need to show the authorities together for official purposes like your first visa and residence appointments.
We only provide digital versions of these documents, but you are welcome to print them if you need physical copies for your visa or residence permit appointment.
If you need us to update your Anlage 6 with a new issuance date for visa purposes, please contact us.
What should I do if my city requires a different insurance certificate form?
Some cities require their own insurance certificate form instead of the standard Anlage 6 for visa or residence permit appointments. The cities currently known to have this requirement are:
Frankfurt: Anlage 1 and Anlage 2 (Annex 1 and Annex 2)
Hamburg: Bescheinigung über einen privaten Krankenversicherungsschutz
Nuremberg: Bescheinigung über einen privaten Krankenversicherungsschutz
If your city has requested one of these forms, you can contact us and ask us to fill in the required form on your behalf.
